How Does It Help?

Arthritis
PDMT moves toxins, edema, and inflammation away from muscles and joints; it removes restrictive factors that limit the range of motion of the joints.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
PDMT relieves congestion, restriction, and entrapment from the median nerve pathway through the carpal tunnel at the wrist; it releases restrictions in adjacent muscles and joints, which also may entrap the median nerve.

Constipation and Digestive Distress
PDMT improves tone and function of limp, flaccid muscles in the colon wall, contributing toward improved peristaltic action.

Headaches
PDMT releases adherent factors in the neck, shoulders, and jaw, relaxing muscular tension, pain, and headache; it also restores range of motion and balance to the neck/head and blood flow to the brain.

Heart Problems
PDMT restores the muscular pathways affecting the heart; it also relieves congestion from around the heart and improves the tone and texture of the muscular walls of the blood vessels themselves.

Joint and Muscle Pain
PDMT releases adherent/restrictive muscles which compromise the free and easy movement of the muscles and the joints; it also moves the build-up of metabolic substances within the muscles and joints that can produce pain. It improves the range of motion and lubrication within the joint capsules.

Neck and Back Pain
PDMT 're-moisturizes' dry, adherent back and neck muscles which restrict ease of movement and increase the incidence of spasm; it also restores balance to structural overcompensation adaptations that the body uses to accommodate pain or muscle damage. It focuses, in exacting detail, on the intricate spinal musculature, correcting the specific source of pain; It helps spinal adjustments to hold more effectively.

Occupational Injuries
Occupational injuries often result from overuse of a muscle in a repetitive movement, causing muscle strain and inflammation, followed by adherence/restriction. PDMT removes the toxic congestion first, then releases the restrictions in each joint adjacent to the problem area. Both phases of PDMT are needed to prevent the problem from recurring. Inflammation caused by cumulative trauma disorder (CTD), repetitive strain injury (RSI), or outright trauma injury, can be dispersed in this way.

Paralysis
PDMT 're-moisturizes' dry, adherent muscle, thereby restoring fresh oxygenated blood to the muscle cells. Oxygen at the cellular level is necessary to allow the nerve to 'spark' and create the muscle contraction; it also releases entrapment of nerves that may 'appear' to be paralyzed.

Poor Circulation
PDMT restores circulation to areas where muscular tension, dryness, or entrapment have impeded blood flow; it also helps cold hands and feet, dry skin, varicose veins, old injuries which are slow in healing, and other circulatory problems.

Sciatic Pain
PDMT resolves the inflammation and entrapment of the sciatic nerve at the specific nerve root areas along the spine as well as along the length of the nerve pathway, addressing the piriformis muscle and each additional area of potential entrapment. It also restores dry or adherent muscle irritating the nerve and balances the body musculature for even weight bearing.

Sports Injuries
PDMT quickly reduces inflammation and swelling in the injured tissue; it's cross-fiber action also prevents the build-up of scar tissue. PDMT restores muscle dryness, adherency, joint range of motion, and structural imbalances, all of which serve as both rehabilitation and prevention for the athlete. PDMT enhances and combines well with orthopedic, chiropractic, and sports medicine treatment. The cross-fiber technique has long been acknowledged for its effectiveness in the treatment of sports injuries.

Tendinitis and Bursitis
PDMT reduces inflammation and congestion surrounding bone, cartilage, joint capsule, joint spaces and distressed bursae. It isolates and relieves restrictive muscles that 'pull' on the joint, and cause pain, subluxation, and compromised range of motion.

Trauma and Car Accidents
PDMT moves inflammatory congestion from newly injured tissue, diminishing the potential for scar tissue and permanent tissue damage; it also corrects muscle damage caused by the recent trauma. Additionally, PDMT searches out 'old' muscle damage that, if left unchecked, may greatly impede restoration of the recent trauma. Limitations resulting from old, untreated fractures respond very well to PDMT, even after many years.

Whiplash
Whiplash can cause damage to the minute fibers of the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the neck and back. It often also results in congestion and damage to the sub-occipital and sublingual muscles. PDMT removes the congestion and tension from these injured areas, relieving pain and impaired movement; it also corrects the damaged muscles and fascia. If left uncorrected, undiscovered muscle damage can lead to chronic neck pain.
